Banda Aceh, (Aentenews) – A toal of 58 temporary houses prepared for the flash flood victims in North Aceh district were found damaged after being hit by windstorm, an official said.
Acting head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North Aceh District, Fauzan made the remarks lately, adding that the damaged houses happened in Langkahan sub-district.
Meanwhile, head of the National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB), Lt.Gen. Suharyanto, cited he had asked for an immedaite repair of the damaged houses.
The damaged houses are part of 16,853 houses which have been constructed for the flash flood victims, Fauzan said.
All the temporary houses which would be provided for all the flash flood victims in Aceh province amounting 18,524 houses.
Flash floods and landslides hit the Indonesia’s Westermost Province of Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra in November 2025.
The hydrometeorogical flash flood disaster destroyed a great number of houses in 18 districts/cities in Aceh.
The Indonesia’s westernmost province of Aceh shares borders with three countries namely Malaysia, Thailand and India (through Andaman and Nicobar Islands) .
The flash flood victims of the damaged houses have been evacuated to some temporary tents, Fauzan noted, adding the damage ranging from slightly to severely.//Aentenews by Bus
