Aceh Besar (Aentenews) – Aceh Provincial Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Mountala, is striving to build Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Seulimuem area in Aceh Besar district, worth about 47 billions rupiah, an official said.
The WTP construction will take place on 3,300 square meters plot of land, according to acting President Director of the Provincial Drinking Water Company, C, Yusmadi here on Thursday (May 14).
Yusmadi and chairman of Aceh Besar legislative assembly (DPRK), Ridha Hidayatullah had observed the location for the WTP construction in effort to help speed up the drinking water project which is fully funded by the state budget .
Besides, Yusmadi said, the WTP is expected to provide drinking water for around 4,000 houses with its ditribution capacity reaches 40 liters per second.
Yusmadi also hoped support from the local people in order to expedite the implementation of the WTP project.
“Local community is expected to fully support this project, so it can run smoothly,” he stated.
Aceh Besar is one of 18 districts in addition to five cities in the Indonesia’s westernmost province Aceh. And Aceh which is home to around 5,2 million people shares borders with North Sumatra province as well as with three countries namely Malaysia, Thailand and India (through Andaman and Nicobar Islands) . //Aentenews by Bus
